Hi! I’m sometimes
Alexandra, mostly Ali, and occasionally Alex if you ask someone who doesn’t know me very well. I design
things,
but most importantly, I ask questions. I’m a people-person, and that’s the biggest reason why I love what I
do.
Whether it’s a user, a stakeholder, or a fellow team member, I incorporate their needs, their perspectives,
and
their values in everything I do.
In my free time, you can find me wandering the streets of New York
City in search of pop-up galleries, cultivating my vast collection of indoor plants, and planning my next
meal.
The first most important person in any project is the user. A close second place is my teammates. Close collaboration and a user-centered focus are the secret ingredients to any successful product.
I believe my role as a designer reaches far beyond screens. I see my role as to advocate for the user, test, problem-solve, and encourage transparency and user centricity through everything I do.
Even when unexpected problems pop up (they always do) you’ll find me striving for a double diamond approach of learning, iterating, and delivering value.
I’m a strong believer in an iterative process that involves frequent stakeholder visibility, data-driven decision-making, frequent co-creation, and constant user feedback.
